Cat Teaser Toys
Cat teaser toys can be a blast for both you and your cat. Remember when you were just a little kid and you drug a piece of string or yarn around while your cat stalked and attacked it? Times have changed and there are many different toys out there that are much more engaging for both of you. There are motorized cat teasers, cat teasing trees, laser towers, gloves, and the ever popular cat fishing poles. Cat teaser toys provide hours of fun and also teach your cat important hunting, stalking, and survival skills.
One of the most popular cat teaser toys around is the wand. This toy is usually made from plastic, bamboo, or metal and has a streamer, ribbon, feathers, or some combination of them hanging from the end. They come in many different lengths so if you don't feel like getting off the couch to play with your cat you don't have to! Some wands have fake wings and feathers at the end to mimic how a bird looks in flight and cats love these. If you don't want your cat to attack real birds, you might want to use a standard ribbon or little pack of catnip at the end instead.
Lasers are awesome cat teasers because you can aim them up to 20 or 30 feet away and your cat can see them and go after them. Laser pens are cheap and will offer your cat hours of entertainment as they chase the elusive red dot all over your home. Just don't aim them at other people. Nothing gets you in trouble like a cat jumping on your wifes leg with claws out. New laser towers offer your cat hours of fun while you are away. You set the tower on the floor and flip open the lid and the laser tower will beam all over the floor in random patterns. You will come home to a tired and sleeping cat most of the time because they spent half the day chasing a dot.
When it comes to interactive fun, nothing beats a cat fishing pole. These look like regular fishing poles but don't have any dangerous hooks. Instead, a little bag of catnip, fake mouse, or wiggly ribbon is at the end. These can be used indoors or out and it's a lot of fun to reel your cat in or have him run all over the place as you slowly reel in your “bait”.
